I'm It!

Pam at Country Mouse, City Mouse has tagged me!
I am totally jealous of Pam because she lives in Canada and just took her family to Niagra Falls for some post Christmas relaxation!
***************************************************************************
The Rules!!

* Grab the NEAREST book.
* Open the book to page 56.
* Find the FIFTH sentence.
* Post the text of the next two to five sentences in your blog along with these instructions.
* Don't dig for your favorite book, the cool book, or the intellectual one; pick the CLOSEST.
* Tag five other people to do the same.

Much like Pam, I had a little trouble finding a book with 56 pages anywhere near me.
I went to my bookshelf, closed me eyes and pulled one off as I prayed that they would not all come tumbling down on my head.
Luckily, I pulled out a favorite and escaped concussion free!

This is from The Sweet Potato Queens' Field Guide To Men: Every Man I Love Is Either Married, Gay or Dead by the always fabulous Jill Connor Browne!

Page 56 is discussing a "queen" who happens to be dating a new man.

We sensed, in the way that women do, that we weren't getting the full details of her current relationship, details to which we were entitled. She left us no choice but to double-team harangue her until she caved and gave it up. The tidbit she finally reluctantly shared with us was the twenty-year difference in their ages. Judging from our own experiences, we naturally assumed that she was dating a thirty-year-old. Imagine our shock and utter envy when she revealed that, no, he was seventy and some change- but, she hastened to assure us, he was an extremely active seventy-plus-change and very vigourous in every way.

I haven't read that book - interesting.

I am totally jealous of you, living in Tennessee. It is so beautiful, we came through last spring on the way to Disney, and stayed in a lovely little spot. (no idea the name now) But we loved it.

You come visit me, I'll come visit you...someday.

Have a good night.

Jill Connor Browne is always worth reading. That was a rather dull passage, but on a normal basis, she is hilarious!
