Sew-a-palooza!

Many of you may have noticed that I have been bitten by the "crafting bug" lately.
I just can't help myself.
There are so many cute things to make (and the online tutorials are FREE!)

Earlier in the week, I embroidered some shirts for a friend of mine that works with Adam.
Just a couple of work shirts, nothing exciting.
I got an email from her thanking me.
She mentioned telling Adam I bothered her because, and I quote,
"you are just so perfect at everything you do."

I wanted to reply and tell her she was absolutely correct.
Everything I create is an absolute masterpiece and should be displayed in some fancy museum in London.

Then, reality set in.
I figured it was far more likely that Adam broke a rib laughing at my percieved perfection than it would be for him to agree with her and play along.
I was right.

Her perfection comment got me thinking about my crafty past, and I can assure you, it isn't pretty.
Remember this?
I tried to dig out some of my other craft attrocities, but they are stored somewhere in the attic.

I did make a huge step in the craft world a couple of weeks ago and created what I call my, "craft closet."
We had an armoire stuffed to the brim with junk we never used.
I cleared it out, picked up a couple of dollar store baskets and got it organized!
It was blissful!
I could find the fabric I was looking for!
Patterns were organized by size!
It was fantastic!

Over the weekend, I visited my great aunt.
She sent me home with bags of patterns, thread, and other little jewels.
I even got this one with none other than Brooke Sheilds gracing the cover :)
Vintage trims!
I almost died!
More Vintage!
Iron on patches!
Now, my craft area is busting at the seams.
To cut down on the clutter, I finished off some projects on my list.

For all of you concerned I never make anything for Caleb, here you go.
Thomas and Cars jammies... Now if only I could find some Diego fabric!

I also finished both of my Button Down dresses!
I still have a baby shower project that has to get done by this weekend!
Better get started!

Both of you could sew! Trust me, if I can do it, you can do it! Nothing I make is perfect. That is why I love it. The cute end result just makes it that much more fun!
