Assistance needed in aisle 15...

Adam called me earlier tonight and our conversation went a little something like this...
Adam: Hey! I'm at Wal-Mart. Do you need anything?
Me: Yeah. We need a gallon of milk for the kids.
Adam: Ok. Milk. Anything else?
Me: Butter... we need butter.
Adam: Milk, Butter, anything else?
Me: We need...
Adam: Do we have eggs?
Me: No. We need eggs.
Adam: Milk, butter, eggs... anything else in the dairy section?
Me: No, I think we are good. No, wait.... I want cresent rolls.
A few minutes later the phone rang. I was tempted to answer the phone with, "Vitamin D" but I resisted.
Adam: What kind of butter do you want? I have butter, margarine, sheds spread, salted, unsalted.
Me: I want butter. Just grab what ever is the cheapest.
Adam: Ok. Do you want salted or unsalted?
Me: It really doesn't matter, just grab butter..... Well, go ahead and get salted.
Adam: If you are going to sin with real butter, you might as well go all the way, huh?
I bet he wishes he had never called :)

I Voted!

Adam took part of the morning off so that I could vote in peace.
The polls opened at 9.
We live like two seconds from our polls so I left at 8:40.
There wasn't a huge line, but there were several seniors in the bunch.
All of them, of course, needed assistance figuring out how the computers worked.
I was also in line behind a Sarah Palin look-a-like! Right down to the rimless glasses :)

Wake Up, Stand Up

This time change is killing us!
Yesterday, the kids were up at 6.
They wanted lunch at 10.
A nap at 11.
I started making dinner early because I was positive one of them would sleep through it.
I was right.
She woke up right before Adam got home.
We played in the floor for a while and for the first time, my little girl stood up ALL BY HERSELF!!!!!!
Sometimes you can trick her and she doesn't realize she isn't holding on to anything.
Last night she did it on purpose!
She just stood there!
Of course, when Daddy pulled out the camera she was no longer interested in standing...

Play-Doh Playtime!

When I was little, Mom never let me play with Play-Doh.
I always wanted the fun Play-Doh accessories!
She was always afraid that it would get ground into the carpet and never come up.
I was forcing Adam to watch Jon and Kate plus 8 the other night when she made edible Play- Doh.
Adam asked what Caleb thought of Play-Doh.
Because I had never played with it as a child, it had never occured to me to get him any.
Then fate stepped in!
I had to run to the store to pick up a few last minute costume supplies and they had all of their halloween things on clearance.
The Play-Doh that you can hand out instead of candy was $2.
I got excited!
After they played outside for an eternity last night, it was time to come in and wind down.
Adam and Caleb set down for some Play-Doh bonding time...
He wasn't overly impressed at first...
Then, Mommy got out the cookie cutters!
They kept making little men and making him "run" across the table screaming, "ROAR, ROAR"
Making Mommy a heart
I love my boys :)

I never would have thought....

Halloween Overdose

Georgia Kate was in a such a good mood on Halloween.
We spent most of the day at Mom and Dads trying to set up for a dinner party.
Georgia Kate loves this police car rocker!
Caleb had lots of fun, too.
He had so much fun, in fact, that he didn't take a nap.
When it came time to put on costumes he had a complete meltdown.
He had change in the pocket of the pants I took off of him.
His new costume pants didn't have pockets so he couldn't carry his "monies."
Because of the gigantic meltdown, I got two pictures of him.
The little booger just would not let me take a picture.
Georgia Kate's first sucker!
Adam rode the esculator with him.
************************************************************
Saturday night, Adam and I went to Randy and Jessica's house for a costume party.
I think Adam's costume turned out pretty good!
Adam and Jake
(for some reason we have a lot of pictures of Jake and very few of anyone else)
Adam, Jake, and Amy (Jake's wife)
Jake and Amy were the teenage Pebbles and Bamm Bamm
Check out Jake's feet!
Disclaimer: My butt is really not this big.
I have one of those things to make the skirt poof out.
The sharp edge was making a place on my leg, so I pulled it up.
Then my stockings wouldn't stay up...

This is how the night ended for me.
Two nights without the kiddos is wearing on me.
I'm definately not a party girl.
